Busy, busy, busy!
Between all the radio interviews, tv appearances, and interviews I've been doing lately, it feels like I've barely had five minutes to myself. It's a good thing my schedule's so well organized or I wouldn't know if I was coming or going lately! Granted, a lot of the radio gigs were being pre-recorded. But it still meant driving all over the place, recording it, then right back into the car and off to the next one.
Tonight's the Night Season 2 has wrapped, aired, and was a big success. There's no better feeling than helping someone's dream come true and that's the main focus of the show: the people. Now it's rehearsing the set list, rehearsing with my dancers, and getting everything set and taken care of for the tour. First show's on the 1st, so it's nearly showtime! Once the tour's done, I'm taking a short break. Then it's off to Scotland for panto, then straight into Torchwood 4 (we're global this time!).
Oh, by the way. For those of you who don't know me, what rock have you been living under? Just kidding... I'm John. I sing, I dance, I act, and had a small part on this tiny little show called Doctor Who. You might've heard of it. Or the spin-off, Torchwood. I've got a small role on that one too... no one special, just the amazing, dashing, omnisexual hero Captain Jack Harkness. I get paid to snog guys, girls, aliens, and anything else with a post code. And yes, I'm just joking around... Doctor Who and Torchwood are both huge and have enabled me to live out my dreams.
And speaking of filming Torchwood, I'm really excited for this new season. We're taking things up another level, since we raised the bar with Children of Earth. And as much as I'm going to miss the old Hub set, it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun heading back to LA for filming, not to mention the other locations we'll shoot at. And seeing Evie again? Big plus... I consider her family and miss her like crazy. With my hectic schedule, I don't nearly manage to see her as often as I'd like.
More later... got to run. Time to head home to spend some time with the dogs while I relax with a nice vodka tonic.
